Our goal as an organization is to develop our young student athletes on the ice and in the classroom. In preparing our young men for advancement to higher levels of junior hockey and possibly college hockey, we also want to promote a team attitude of Family First Ideals, Personal Growth, Poise, Self-Discipline, Hard Word, and Accountability. 

As a first year "Expansion Franchise", we have the opportunity to lay the groundwork for the years ahead. Our foundation will be built on our players and coaching staff. Ownership will expect that our Icehawks carry themselves at a professional level at all times. They will be a positive representation of our organization within the community, on the ice, and in the classroom.

Teams live and die by their culture. Culture is defined by who you are on and off the ice. Our culture will define us as a team and as individuals.

Creating a winning culture began during the recruiting process, where you were evaluated as much by your character, as you were by your ability. Instilling our culture continues now by introducing training habits. These are things that are done every time, WITHOUT FAIL! Every player will be held to these standards.

You will be given guidance and direction with respect as to how to use all of this to your advantage. The decision to follow that advice and direction is your choice. Every choice, good and bad, has consequences. Either way you choose, you are held accountable for these choices.

Our code of conduct is simple and straight forward. You are expected to represent yourself, your family, and the Icehawk organization with the utmost integrity. Since your off-ice behavior says so much about you, you can expect that your appearance, demeanor, and language will constantly be monitored. If any of these expectations fall below the accpected standard, you will be told and expected to immediatley raise the standard to our levels or suffer the consequences.

The Cheney Icehawks are proud to announce that they have been accepted as the newest member of the NPHL. Entering the 2014-2015 season with high expectations, our goal is to provide each player with the opportunity to develop as a hockey player and a young adult. We are looking for 25 players, ages 16-20 that is highly motivated to develop their hockey skills and to learn what it takes to move to the next level.

The Icehawks will be playing and practicing at the new Frontier Ice Arena in Coeur d' Alene Idaho. The facility will provide our team with a dedicated locker room and many other amenities. 

We look forward to an exciting inaugural season.
